Ram Caught In A Thicket

Congregation Emanu-El B'Ne, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Richard Edelman

The wild ram caught by its horns in the thicket is a central image in my work.

The struggling body is created by blacksmithing crescents into bone and muscle, employing heat,  hammers, and tongs. A cast bronze head is welded to the body.

The large Rocky Mountain sheep is my model.
