This hybrid began with obsolete found scrap, old wrenches and a cast iron piece from a cobblers bench. I heated and hammered the wrenches into wings. The feathers were built up by dripping hot metal. The sculpture was placed on an industrial gear and chrome-plated, like a hood element on an automobile. My model was Winged Victory of Samothrace at the Louvre. For a separate piece, I cast her in bronze to create a sense of antiquity.

I sometimes refer to the chrome and bronze twins as DAY and NIGHT.
